upon examination
of four inch heels,
my leather shoes
with ankle straps,
i realize they will
never do
if it's necessary
to run helter skelter.

therefore i've decided
not to pack them in the bag
which i've prepared
for escape to
my neighbor's
bomb shelter.

when the warning
comes from the feds,
be sure to pack your keds.
