I once got a pay raise that cost me about a hundred bucks a week, I won't go into it but it was slick.

I was so full of rancor I had to turn my CB radio off for a week cause I got tired of hearing my self complain about it. No sense talking hate and discontent spoiling some other driver's day. But I got pretty snippy with the company. They told me what a good job I was doing and I told them please don't tell me that, I can't afford another pay raise.

It wasn't life and death though, I mean not like your job.
