diet of worms

Post by constantine » May 9th, 2009, 9:20 am

the microverse is not what it's cracked up to be
pseudopods grasping amorphously from all directions
paramecium walking all over you
like you aren't even there
it can be a little hard on the nerves
and the cilia
the cilia gives me the creeps
still, perhaps i'm being a bit judgmental
i probably appear somewhat unsettling to them as well
the situation reminds me of saint francis
does the grace of god extend to the protozoa
and, perhaps even more importantly,
is that grace returned in kind
is the diet of worms applicable or even desirable
that's what i want to know

sure. i got it from the fantastic four - an early issue - "the microverse of doctor doom." stan lee wrote it - so it's on him. i loved the early marvels. god, 40 years after the fact and they still hold a sway on my imagination.

Spiritly I say unto thee:
Listen Mack, you'll be long gone before
the worms crawl in
the worms crawl out,
they crawl in yere liver
and out yere snout....

I don't know what brings this to mind.

you know what a nut job I am

But suppose the dead do know something.

no shit

I am dead this morning too

I just got back to delete that post

You know you can "count on me" to make these sorts of REPLIES.

I believe they speak in dreams.

Ten four on keeping it to myself.

I think about lingering conscious

after the doctor pronounces me not only dead
but most sincerely dead.

as memory fades from molecules

and I must linger with this body

And wait patiently for the worms

to consume the last bit

and nature to transmogrify all this 250 pounds of meat into the petal of a flower or a girl from Kansas, a drop of water flowing in old man river, a rainbow, one iridescent scale on a butterflies wing

life is beautiful

I have had to re do this consciousness

to see the beauty in a dead rat with maggots.

you can count on me for long stoned responses on a Sunday morning.

I appreciate the inspiring poetry dinoche [sp]
sincerely

and nature to transmogrify all this 250 pounds of meat into the petal of a flower or a girl from Kansas, a drop of water flowing in old man river, a rainbow, one iridescent scale on a butterflies wing

that's the truth of the matter. nature is efficient - and i guess there is beauty in that efficiency. if one chooses to call it that. it's not a bad way of looking at it.

I was just thinking about the Book Of The Dead and Buddhism and Shakespeare and mortal coil.

I wish I was smart enough to understand what Einstein meant when he said he believed in G-d. Spinoza's god.
