If There Really Is

Post by Lightning Rod » December 3rd, 2009, 8:56 pm

Here is a song from an imaginary musical that Barry Gremillion and I are not writing at the moment. Words--Lrod, music--Barry Gremillion.

The scene is the protagonist in bed sleepless with his dog. (the dog's name is Godot)

LISTEN HERE

If There Really Is

I'm an agnostic
dyslexic
insomniac

I stay awake at night
wondering
wondering
if there really is a dog

I wouldn't hog your intellect
I wouldn't ask you questions
I wouldn't tell you what to do
or give you my suggestions

cuz I'ma
an agnostic
dyslexic
insomniac

I stay awake at night
wondering
wondering
if there really is a dog

It's on my blog, just read it
I know you really don't need it
I try not to think of you not thinking of me
the dawn doesn't need for me to greet it

I stay awake at night
I stay awake all night
wondering
wondering
if there really is a dog
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

It's on my blog, just read it
I know you really don't need it
I try not to think of you not thinking of me
the dawn doesn't need for me to greet it
I like that bit a lot.

Sounds good clay.
Thank you
If you can't give me love and peace, Then give me bitter fame. — Akhmatova.

I have no tact
part of my autism I suppose
not sure if this is the wrong thing to ask
but did you stop smoking?
I almost did not recognize your voice on this one
sounds sweet clay.

more than sweet
meek
the earth is yours
you command it from your bunk
you let it go
you don't float away
unlike a bubble you won't burst
like a bubble you will float
every disillusionment is a doorway
into heart of darkness
deep abyss
gravity of mass
fusion music
temperature's rising
fission's breaking out
power of explosion overcomes th black hole
we got some levity an a chemistry set
let's go to town
when there is one
meanwhile we'll snake around watching the show annd flow
ah there's a little cell now
got an egg brain, the yolk's on them
nucleus' pumping information into the walls and tells it
you are a dog, woman will be your friend
i'm on a survival mission
yo ho ho an a bottle of rum om

Religion, is a light in the fog"
