Carping

Post by Barry » December 8th, 2009, 10:13 pm

As a young man in my twenties I did a lot of carping
Oh God, did I carp!
I carped and carped and carped
I carped with the best of them
I carped about everything
Everything looked bad to me
I looked down on everything
All the shit I ever saw was past the end of my nose

Now, as a man of middle-age, I don't see it this way
Everything looks good to me
It's not all so bad as I thought
I see much to be hopeful for
The whole world changes every day
Each morning nothing is what it was the day before

But I do still carp about all the carping
Oh God, I get tired of all the carping
I carp and I carp and I carp
About all these people spending so much time carping

I guess as much as everything changes
Very much still stays the same:)

Peace,
Barry

about all you can do with a carp is make Gefilte fish
nice with a little horse radish sauce.

"when I was one and twenty"

I thank God for Nietzsche
He makes good Geliflte fish

I was a stone cold atheist as a young man
But you know how old farts get religious as they approach the grave.

I take my carping to god these days.

When I was a young man
I had such execllent vision
I could see the mote in the eye of my brother
now my vision is blurry
and all I can see is the beam in my own eye

I loves to jam barry
that is all this is
just spontaneous gibberish
I got monkey on my back who likes to type
