Sunken Forest

Sunken Forest

Deep in Bayou Sara’s
Shadowy sunken forest
In thick tussocks
A cricket’s hassock
Where grass harpists
Chirp lonely refrains

Judih, your reply was pure poetry. Basho couldn't have said it better. :)

the mini shadow world is just as busy as the human one....teeming with life, like christmas shoppers on a new york sidewalk.......another little world goes on in spite of us........
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

mtmynd, so much to hear if only we listen.

Saw, yes there are myriad worlds just out side our door. Those communities live and die in sagas as heroic as the Iliad or Odyssey.
