The Children’s Garden

Post by jim turner » December 2nd, 2010, 1:32 pm

Look at my tomatoes,
how they do not ripen, turn
red, sweet; and my potatoes,
unearthing themselves, burn
green in the sun, underground
shrivel, rot; I haven’t found
a single bean worthy of a pot.
That solitary berry hardens
and there are no peas.
It looks like I’ve lost the lot.

Do you know a goddess of gardens?
Pray to her, please,
that these are not my children.

Very nice Jim. A Veggie Tale with a twist.
if words could mend the holes in my quilt
night would be lost for my shiver.
