Words spoken so beautifully
Stroke my brain
Soft as velvet
Tender as your fingers
Sending me to sleep
I find myself in a dream
The only place I can
Hold you subconsciously
As if you never left
I wake and dry my eyes
My mind filled me with lies
All night, beautiful lies
You were with me
There is no disguise
How I feel for you
No childish crush, not lust
Unconditional love for my
Beautiful Muse
As I begin to sleep.

Re: As I begin to sleep.
dreams can be good medicine....our unconscious mind has all the tools locked away in the shed for safekeeping and sometimes if we lose the key to the lock, we may need a crowbar to get in there.......but it doesn't really matter how we get in, as long as we can access the magic of the workshop..
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
you may end up where you are heading

Re: As I begin to sleep.
was the muse thing like a last minute thing? cuz it has such a flow, and then it is like a sudden left turn for me-i know i am a bit daft- but easily distracted!
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

one heck of a fine poem:

How I feel for you
No childish crush, not lust
Unconditional love for my

No the muse was not a last minute detail added, my muse is who this poem is written about.
