Night Monkey's Song

Post by the mingo » January 21st, 2012, 11:42 pm

Night Monkey's Song

parchments of pain
ideas of blood

the wind is up
boom! against the walls
Boom!

not even the birds
can hang tough on the wire
in this

flash of a firefly
in the night
that's what life is
... an Indian told me that ...
then we drank whiskey all night
and played cards
and i lost
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

Not to change the topic from monkey to ape, but believe it or not, I just finished watching The Rising Planet of the Apes. Excellent movie and I recommend.

It's all over before we flashed all our cards.
`Do you know, I was so angry, Kitty,' Alice went on...`when I saw all the mischief you had been doing, I was very nearly opening the window, and putting you out into the snow! And you'd have deserved it, you
little mischievous darling!
