a pope mad

[the mingo]

she was already a myth in the areospace sector
when she went down in the desert
nobody was even sure she could swim
she had those red woman lips
but that wouldn't have helped her
out there in the sands

the FBI agents that went looking for
the crash site went missing too

she had failed to fail pregnant

and she couldn't stand the ground she would never own
and would never have enough money for retirement
and decided going the wrong way
was the right thing to do

hundreds of years later the plane was found
remarkably well preserved
but no body
no bones
and the story rolled over in it's sleep

the pilot madonna has beaded herself a rosary chain
the thought of her ghost fingers
running over those beads out there in the sands...

it's enough to drive a pope mad
