WE PACKED OUR things and left our luggage at the reception and walked toward the harbour to catch the boat to Konstanz. She told me stories of when she was young and who she played with and how they played, and showed me the location of their treasure box and how they caught ladybugs and found feathers. We walked toward the border of Switzerland and turned toward the water of Lake Constance and found a bench and took off our pants to soak our feet in the cold spring water.
