feather box

Post by sweetwater » June 1st, 2012, 7:08 am

WE PACKED OUR things and left our luggage at the reception and walked toward the harbour to catch the boat to Konstanz. She told me stories of when she was young and who she played with and how they played, and showed me the location of their treasure box and how they caught ladybugs and found feathers. We walked toward the border of Switzerland and turned toward the water of Lake Constance and found a bench and took off our pants to soak our feet in the cold spring water. She told me stories about myself and made me laugh at how she remembered things i had forgotten, to remind me that we were in love a long time ago, and how I said I always loved her, and how stubborn she was and how she said i was too forward and not very interesting, taking my advances as something that only suggested that i wanted to have sex with her, when i all i wanted was to make her smile and feel good and be playful, to enjoy her company and share stories, and yes,
she knew what i didn't want to hide.

she never said you were too forward and suggesting that you were only wanting to have sex with her... rather, she felt a bit overcharged by your expression of love for a while, not knowing if she was ready for such a thing yet or whether she could return these feelings... she never doubted your sinceritiy and honesty in that respect, though, nor your genuine feelings and your originality and creativity in being who you are.... so, slightly and slowly and over time, she began to grow towards you and into you, without even noticing and realizing herself at first, just as you grew into her and took roots in her....

where you still are.

Great chain of consciousness vignette poem...We should all be so lucky as to
have a lover like that... 8)

i have become the lover i always wanted--
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
