goldfish caravan in my wallet
but gravity is not frightened
the bombast of freedom is not
a language heard among those
who work the days & nights
& live & breathe
at least not past the age of seven
the clergymen of glitter
push cannonballs into a guitarist hemisphere
as children of gazelle mind
gather the jaws of seabirds from the beach
the women are born
with poems between their legs
and men congregate in worship
this church in every home
the handiwork of infancy is a passing thing
a framework bent toward graduation as a goal
same as old age
