the creation and union of the nocturn

[sweetwater]

i can only think of spending a long evening
with ginger necking kisses in the embracing
nocturnized nutrients of making shapes
into flavoured fragrances and feeling the contours
and edges of your naked outline and sketch
of lines over the surface of my skin and reaching
into falling and climbing in the losing and finding
you ... in the morning for a cup of day that will
disappear along the lines of a summer's sunset and the memory
left will scar my existence in the longing for the
beginning all over again ... and if this doesn't
represent the idea of being and how it creates
the profound realization of a creative moment
seemingly in philosophical suspension as a poem
is written to relate the taste of your kisses
the warmth of your heart beating in the palms
of my hands and how it feels like it will be like
this forever in the idea of an eternal reoccurrence
in a summer that never ended but remained in
the cells of my being creating the geometry
of my genetics speaking in the emotional
splurging of soft sanguine salutations
of the sagacious silent spaces that exist
between the oscillating gestures of i love you
