treaties, vows and ....

Post by creativesoul » October 18th, 2012, 12:31 am

each of the weddings had replaced silver candle sticks
the light in her eyes
all blown out
the fireplaces, the wines, the diamonds
had hungered in her bones for something deeper
the break in each wrinkle in her face
they traded her in
for something cheaper

the children and the grace
the palms in his hands
the light on his face
traded in for smoke rings and melted carmel
whipped cream and strawberries

professing to educate the innocence of love
the movies of some glittering romance
sliding in like ice skates on a frozen ice
that heated arguement that became a resolve
they had become her vice
perhaps she could entice
them to be nice

to leave what grew so well
the roses she planted in many gardens

the vow 'until deathe do us part'
somehow contibuted to some forlorn
worn out art
formless and sad in its stretch to create
more than the equation of love or hate

something more than rumination and debate
conforming to cottage like places that shorn
sheeplike woven blankets warm and furry
she broke the way they had to evolve
this thing seems to disolve
in a hurry
the wishes she laid in pies and cookies
left her worn and light headed
the vows she tore from her chest=
were suddenly put to rest
she tried the treaties
the promises made and broken
the love was merely a token
she was in a place
where the lace and reason
has no taste or season
the moments when it was all so young
replaced with the wisdom
songs she wanted to hear sung
somewhere inside-there is a pride
that will hide from such dreams
the wasted days of love like haze
will never decide
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
