CALIFORNIA

Post by creativesoul » March 1st, 2013, 1:07 am

the telephone says california is calling- my son is on the other end- he tells me-he has a year sober- i try to act like a 'normal mom' but i guess there isnt much hope of that really happening- but i see his eyes in my soul- he has a way of letting me know what i need to see- maybe not what i want to see- certainly all that white picket fence dreams melted off a while back-but the boys went on- and they found their way-brillant creative souls= yes that was the muse, the inspiration - to live love and heal- it came from that desire- to love to be better- to grw to change- that was all i could offer them- AA----- asober mom- having been to to Africa and be on the beaches of Badagry-all of us like a big family= micheal angelo was born in ITALY- and we ate italian food together with Gino and a whole bunch of italians-and those two boys and i were rolling around the planet- building homes in venice California and then Kauai- and now = back in oregon after the buffalo farm, after the BLUE PERIOD= the injured period- and the repaired grounded version-
of mom- building lodges and sun dancing- praying hard that these very dreams would come true= and they have and they do-THERE WAS SO MUCH MORE I WANTED TO SAY - which is how i end up here.
like a bar i come here for a drink of water-for something that will quench that insatiable need-the need to connect with others that are like minded- BOTTOMS UP
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

all my mother ever wanted for her children was to be happy, to be grateful to have been born.
