a side road along a path of simple pleasures

Post by sweetwater » October 9th, 2013, 3:09 pm

sometimes the waves roll
in the raining pleasure sky into
the idea of words and titles
like the tide of an autumn's afternoon
and the creative imagination diving into
the deepened desires and longings
of one's heart

to enjoy a story or outline on a sunny shore
like sand dunes and marsh berries
of life and all of its happenings

the many stories much like tiny suburbs
of a city where the street lights blink
to tell and read the past

and as much as an ocean that
lays between us in the soft climb
towards the direction of an aimless
floating at sea

the movement seemingly becomes
an ambiguous nature or lightened heart
or even an ambiguity
in the seeming random complexity
of things

the analogies of an old love song and ballad
and anomolies that discuss the beginnings
as endings
anachronisms to explain the unique
characteristics of a afternoon
walking
and metaphors
to enjoy the evening's
wake into the shadows
that depict the figures
of longing footsteps
