begotten not made

Post by sweetwater » August 27th, 2014, 7:30 am

the broken arrow mooring of day
waking into the sublime morning

the meaning encountered
a dream remembered
in the remembering

being begotten not made
the inference of that which you did not
create yourself in the earth of
your love

the sky like a red balloon
and ninety reasons
why the french enjoy
the morning of night

why the dutch sing songs
of discontent
to content themselves
of colour

in the belgian bars
of brussels

singing in the beer table
the tears of joy

in the bavarian motor pool
of raising glasses

and the estonian elegance
of suburban condominiums

highways that reach forever
through the small roads and fords
of a country setting

like ships that dock as metaphors
and numbers to include the sight
of land

knots that are as much tied
as much felt as the wind
on your face

rivers that sing songs
moons that cry
clouds that disappear
and write poetry

in the remembering of where
you are right now

location bias included as
the cedars bend toward
the wet earth raining
down

making the moment
similar and strange
in the similarity
of the morning
sun squinting in the windowless
futuring

of ideas that swim in a wetsuit
and dive into the chasm of a wonderful
carefree

letting go

experiencing the all of everything
in the breath you take
to feel yourself again

alive in the living moment
of symbol

called yourself

love the more succinct stanzas.

i got lost at

"alive in the living moment
of symbol"

and i don't know what

"being begotten not made
the inference of that which you did not
create yourself in the earth of
your love"

means but it makes me feel alive. i especially dig the line "you did not/create yourself in the earth of/your love" wowzers!

thanks 8)
