Rode down to gas up
found the clouds threatening
the roar and spark
of mad God
and here under the canopy
can't tremble enough to satisfy
the wind takes dead leaves
swirls the tranquility
until we can't think
except in noise
the timbre, the bass
vibrating
left my education in a notebook
can't read my longhand writing
letters barbwire across the page
God is a stranger in a range rover
changing lanes
honking
giving the finger to the little children
going to school for science, meaning
and I watch
a storm encroaching from above
where is love?
where is love?
it has to start
above?

Morning Before The Storm
The Irish Sea Is Always In Turmoil, Even When Calm.
Re: Morning Before The Storm
there must be more than trips along the beltway,
and you have captured the wondering ...about more
believing in love and empathy may be our entire purpose here,
much to ponder

If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
you may end up where you are heading
