Headwaters

Post by Atehequa » April 19th, 2015, 8:54 pm

Just east of the Blue Ridge
Beside the upper Rappahannock
A little west of the Hume Road bridge
Tomorrow I should be at Ravensden Rock

Sitting high upon a river bank
Out here beyond the troubles of man
No maddening rat race, or levels of rank
My mind at ease, as I have nothing to plan

Puffing away, pipe in my hand
Anticipating angling in streams
Gazing west at a wooded mountainous land
And drifting off into amethyst hued dreams
