Willie's Song

Post by saw » August 22nd, 2015, 10:12 am

have I been too obvious, overdone
my feelings to the point of charred blathering
am I nothing but a beef jerky to be gnawed upon ?

tell me dear reader, for you alone
are among the few who even bother
to break and enter into this specious skull

and of course I wouldn't blame you
if you excepted the made for TV explanation
"we can neither confirm nor deny whether mr. "saw"

has done any permanent damage to himself
or to any innocent poets that got in his way ."
with his subjecting them to countless regurgitations

even makes ME sick to think about it
I will say in my defense, I never intended to mislead any of you
I really am..... crazy
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

The best of us are crazy mr.saw. The best of us are.
And above me the stars align
But not yet with my own
And the night birds sing
Whilst the demon haunts this restless soul.

Nah, you are crazily sane. I think your poems always speak good sense in a crazy world. You have good experience with much of the odd happenstances----you have seen much----I've seen much too----and you see through the madness and know it for what it is.

I read poems from a lot of different people. Yours, besides being creative, imaginative, usually display a person with good sense, no bull, beneath the observations, the fictions, the lyrics.

Not crazy.

irish, saw is crazy - bona fide - it adds glow to his writings - he gets his telling bone on and off he goes like Basho on the narrow road to the interior 8) 8)
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

i, for one, have emerged unscathed from my personal experiences of saw

in fact, i admit to a level of slightly improved belief in a better life through studio 8

but that's just me - i can't speak for anyone else out here in the audience

thanx Jess, I do like me some crazy people....after all I live in Baltimore

Danno, thanx for the kind reflections, and yes, Mr. Nelson is the man I refer via song

thanx ming, for confirming my suspicions about myself...and then continuing to read me

and judih, thanx...it's good to know you are still OK....and thriving in the S8osphere, despite me

thoroughly enjoyed all the comments 8)
