Drowning in a drunken, weary jigger makes this widow teary,
As her liquored paces sway imbalanced limbs above the floor,
Empty, yet with sorrow's struggle, tummy feeling kicks and bumbles,
Now without youth's callow bubble as she paces through her door,
Sparking old nostalgic troubles as she paces through her door,
Dreading 'morrows...evermore
As she smells their fragrance creeping, while entombed so sadly sleeping,
Underneath a candle burning lay the ones she so adored,
Sober pep returns her graces, as she looks upon the faces,
Not without familiar traces from these walls which they adorn,
Seeing these beaming embraces from these walls which they adorn,
Quells her sorrows...nevermore!
Ever since that dark November, haunting smells make her remember,
Which can only fade when embers burn between her lips before,
Constantly these flames are doting her into a smoky coating,
Every time this mortal cloaking strips itself from whence it bore,
Not unless her kids were choking would she e'er want to implore,
Spreading ashes...nevermore
