The Garden, Gone

Post by Brian mclaughlin » April 17th, 2016, 2:23 pm

There's no turning back as the garden is gone
the blue marble has had its day
raped of her resources
Trees and grasses, the rain forests disappearing

The ozone rent
carbon dioxide
not being converted into oxygen
not at a sufficient rate to support life as we knew it

The ice caps melting
the lands receding for the rising seas
weather patterns being disrupted
natural disasters bringing men to their knees

Man pit against neighbor for survival
and must now accept his fate
as he has waited too long to turn the tide
from his own extinction

It will arrive sooner than the hoped for later
When we speak we are afraid our words will not be heard or welcomed. But when we are silent, we are still afraid. So it is better to speak. ~ Audre Lorde

I hope you are wrong but I fear that you are right. People as a whole are too stupid-dumb-oblivious-suicidal-blind-egotistical-greedy-lazy......whatever negative adjective fits.

The meek shall inherit the earth
We have made our changes , we may become wise on the brink, The planet has been under water many times, this time we are just making it happen much faster , We have indeed been cruel to this world .
This world how ever, will breath deep now, the magnetic fields will shift in relation to changes in the suns own fields ,the plates go adrift and the poles change position, men in boats will find new islands, let us hope war dies with this time of man.
Got me thinking my friend.

sadly we've reached a critical juncture....the warming planet is melting the glaziers, the rising sea will cover coastal cities...weather events get more and more violent ,as well as frequent...

We can argue about what is causing this perhaps...but not about this reality....and the powers that be seem only mildly concerned.....

you may end up where you are heading
