Is in the freezer
Talking to me
As this hot humid feeling edges closer to the
Beautiful Portland lights shining under the full moon

It is divine what we can do...

Design and color and smells of steam
Water and moonlight
Downtown we watch for sunlight
But the sky has been gray- struggling
To bat her long false eyelashes
Instead of shining
Portland - home to the many and to a few

While I see beautiful people laying on the ground
Empty houses
But my house is filled with pastashio: Marion berry and vanilla
Ice cream
Even the air conditioning seems hot
Rain I'm calling you to me
For a day

I read your poem and if i had ice cream in the house I'd be eating it right now - @4:30 in the morning - one spoonful after another - no break between - steady motion until it was gone and spoon rattling against the sides of an empty bowl and let the dawn bring what day it will

I used to be able to " not eat it every night"
But then again
There are many things that are changing
And have changed
Like the belly fat
The wrinkled skin
I go to the gym
Get my muscles tight and feeling
Fabulous
I reach into the freezer
Ice cream is my lover now
Oh it is every flavor
And smooth words come to me
While ice cream
Takes me everywhere
And no where
I am the queen when the flavor wakes my soul
With childish giggles

In the freezer
It seems not much has changed
Some would t
Call me derranged
But without that sweet
I cannot will not feel the hot wind thru my shirt
With holes in it
I bite the cold flavors

The Vanilla with honey from our own hive alive
melts into your dreaming poem of rain and moonlight like mixing galaxies
home made country salt spoon summer heat fresh cream dream
ah such an easy lover , thats the best

Now the sprinkle
The 4 am "sleep" safeway product
Has been swallowed
As i would in fact
Be eating
With little or no tact
Ice cream that's a fact

But everything I read
Says" don't over eat"
That all this sweet
Rolls with the heat
Cantaloupe and peaches on sale
Now in the rain
They tell me
That sugar is " linked to pain"
I know
That seems insane
I like the cold
And the wet
There are heron s standing on one
Long leg
Balancing
Wishing
For mangos and vanilla hagendaz
It's a prayer
For a better more loving
Love between all of us
Around us
I bet
On the day of revolution
Offer free ice cream
People will come
All flavors
