Does anyone remember?
Breakfast at Tiffanys yada yada.
Endless European clones, making
European noise, perfectly phrased,
metered, beaten down by time,
yeah yeah, Jack and his 'typing
instead of writing,' well that
was to be expected.
Who the hell was Truman Capote?

Re: Who the hell was Truman Capote?
Good lord, Andy Williams, Moon River. GAH... They made us play that tripe back in middle school Band class. Of course the novella might be more interesting (doubt it)- set in the '40s, not '60. Okay okay, TC wrote of uniquely American, not "European" scenes/themes. It's just the snooty fussiness of the novel writing clique coming out of the immediate post-war period, before things opened up... "That's not writing, that's typing" ... No, it was writing. Going up that mountain with Gary, the conversations with Bull, the jazzscapes...
Re: Who the hell was Truman Capote?
In cold blood.....im sure Jack laffed the typing thang off.....whatrver ended up with Robert Blake?
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....
Re: Who the hell was Truman Capote?
I think he's still around. Don't think he did any more showbiz stuff after he stood trial for allegedly shooting his wife outside a restaurant back in 05 or so. Ugly business..
