give me a hint
my pencil is sharp
as a tribal arrow
quivering in a bag
of rawhide imagination
each shaft feathered
with the wisdom of an old woman
an amazon of artistry

turn the spit slowly
feel the heat from her stories
that need to be told
share the bounty of the planet
eat from the table of contents
choose your loves, share
your reasons with the hungry
the seekers of satisfaction

there will be no Mick Jagger
