the dancing weedwacker

my mind races off halfcocked and heading
to who knows where at breakneck speed,
my body creeps along like a sloth climbing a tree
barely discernible to the human eye

my mind sees vivid colors and shapely outlines
and is always working on the combinations of the two,
as my body drags it's ass across impossible planes
as if it's scaling Mt. Everest near the border of Tibet and Nepal

this juxtaposition is my personal tug of war
a battle of competing directions and motivations
this tango of desires each will formidable determination......
well at least I've found a way to engage in this quixotic

test of wills.
a challenging adaptation has presented itself
as my contentment lies buried in the overgrown grass.....
