"Thistles and Marigolds" - suggested reading

Post by Doreen Peri » May 25th, 2005, 1:04 pm

Yesterday, we were thrilled when we opened up our mailbox because we found a wonderful book inside.

It's a little book, approx 24 pages.... a collection of poetry written by Studio Eight's Judih Haggai.

The collection is called "Thistles and Marigolds."

Thank you, judih, for sending this fine collection of work to us. I sat and read your poetry while drinking my morning coffee today! What a great way to start off a day! You are one fine writer... you're writing gets better and better every time I read you. Your use of language and imagery is exquisite. You pull me into your head and heart and let me see out of your eyes.

I would like to select a piece from this book and read it at our upcoming show at the Sowebo Arts Festival in Baltimore, this coming Sunday .... a show WIREMAN is organizing. Would that be ok with you? LR also selected "7 thousand miles away" as a piece he would like us to record and add music to. If this is ok with you, we'd be honored!

I suggest you all get in touch with judih and ask her how you can get a copy of this chapbook! You'll be glad you did!

The internet is a terrific vehicle for meeting people, interacting, and enjoying the talents of artists.... but there's nothing like holding a book in print in your own hands and reading away from the screen.

So, I'm recommending this reading material to all of you.

Thanks again, judih!
