Republicans Accused of Witch-Hunt Against Climate Change

Post by mtmynd » August 30th, 2005, 6:55 pm

Good ol' Bushco! The assault against intelligence never ends.

This article came out in The Guardian newpaper, Tues. 8/30/05:

"Some of America's leading scientists have accused Republican politicians of intimidating climate-change experts by placing them under unprecedented scrutiny.

"A far-reaching inquiry into the careers of three of the US's most senior climate specialists has been launched by Joe Barton, the chairman of the House of Representatives committee on energy and commerce. He has demanded details of all their sources of funding, methods and everything they have ever published.

"Mr Barton, a Texan closely associated with the fossil-fuel lobby, has spent his 11 years as chairman opposing every piece of legislation designed to combat climate change."

Good question cecil. I been following the story. So many dirty tricks. The Iraq war a good cover story for all the corruption. I am pretty sure Bush Admin will go down as the most corrupt administrations ever. I think people are beginning to not put up with the war. Maybe after that the dirty laundry will start to air. Maybe see some of them will do the perp walk after that.

Dear Friends:

Many of the allegations against the Republicans can be explained by the cartoon below.

The "Republican Culture Gap" is a notorious problem!

( excuse me, but I like political cartoons that hit you with a two-by-four . . . Ward Sutton--from THE FUNNY TIMES.)

nothing like a slap up side the head with a 2 by 4 to give a fellow a new perspective.

I suppose you have heard the new reason for Iraq war?

We got to protect those oil fields so from falling into the terrorists hands. Just saw that in yesterday's paper.
