I LOVE IT! today i looked up the show i was talking about, and the original song lyrics and read it to my friend...do you realize how many different versions there are...its incredible.

anyways i'm listening to it right now and i really really like it.

i'm kinda bored, i'm reading about postmodernism and how money has fucked up everything and has caused fragmentation and alienation and its just so depressing, mean while behind me my roomate is watching Survivor, and i think what the fuck is wrong with the world.
Blah!

Clay, for me, this song comes only about 50 years too late. The ominous voice of Burl Ives has given me the creeps since the age of 2.
When he sang about that 'rubber ducky', i felt as if hitchcock's psycho was a walk down lollipop lane - burl ives was the scourge of horror to me.

sing, man, sing. Save this generation of children!

now, i must re-do my past, quickly - another hit of Big Rock

(the above is a little known secret - please lock this thread and turn up the invisible ink)
