am driving from ottawa to victoria, BC, sometime in the next few months

want to take america route, but not too far off the path


any particular sights or routes i should take?

How far off the path is too far? Ottawa to B.C., I guess it depends too on what you want to see and what you are into. But I think if I were doing it, upon leaving Ottawa I'd stay west until Winnipeg and then dip down about Minnesota, then maybe a bit further down a bit farther west into South Dakota, then on over into Wyoming and then into Montana, and through Idaho and then about this time pull through eastern Washington state to the coast and up through the coast to Seattle and just over the boarder into B.C., watch out for long stretches with no gas stations though in the Dakotas and Wyoming and Montana and the like. Enjoy.

Dude.....pass through Seattle. I need an excuse to get my ass up there. I hear it's one of those places where "I'll finally be at home".
Although I've heard that plenty and its all proven to be bullshit.

Seriously though, if you're going through Seattle let me know. It's only about two hours from here. I'll buy you a beer and test your skill on a pool table.......

seattle...ahhh, you can still smoke in the bars there...i love it
