the nytimes had the story of bush's illegal wiretapping "about a year ago," according to a story in yesterday's la times. about a year ago, of course, bush was in the process of being reelected. the only reason they published the story a few days ago was because a book was about to hit the stores written by 1 or 2 of its journalists that was going to break the story.

yeesh.
