we (were once as warm)

Post by joel » July 10th, 2006, 3:41 pm

we
were
once
as
warm—

our venue
was sure
a muse
as we
were one—

suns warm us
as we amuse
our successes assure
a sure veneer
we were us—

we are over now—
so now come swarms
worms we now wear
worms are our norms
curses are our sum success

no sun rose over us
we wove our own senescence
no one recovers us now
assurance seems a vacuum vow—
we were once as warm

what we were

the shadows
flee from

warm spots

grow cold
before our

very eyes
