Thought number 56

I won't remind you how depressed I am by calling and attempting to strike a conversation with you, a dialogue straight out of a Samuel Beckett script.

In a dream I once had, you danced your way across a field of lilies, occasionally cha cha cha-ing your way through the mass of flowers at your knees. There you were responsive, more human than I've ever seen you in life.

I wonder why we were ever friends, when the title seems like an impossibility in the world of your language.

"Nothing to be done" That is the opening line to Samuel Beckett's play "Waiting For Godot".
