I feel the loneliness settle in, comfortable in its usual resting place, curling up in the cartilage of my joints so that it aches to move.

My eyes are glued together by the constant pain of living, my pupils deprived from the simple act of seeing.

I am aged, like a rotted fruit past its prime, though never having witnessed better days, I am forced to rekindle memories of a jovial past that never occurred.

Solitude, consume me now, be merciful on this ambassador of loneliness, let me wilt before your feet so that I may have peace in my soul, eternally.
Sometimes you have to fly without wings to learn how to live
