he woke up cussing when she asked him to blow the candle out
she told herself that this would be the very last time that she would
endure his slovenly care of her
tea was a struggle
she had been coughing all night long
ciggarettes had come to claim her
she carried supplies for the day in her backpack
change of pants for work
make up, hair tyes and clips
she knew that life was full of unforseen disasters and creatures with little to give but their unsolictied opinions
perspectives that seemed rather fragmented
lost among the noise she found and add for a friend in need
disabled people with dignity
she could relate
lately the sex had been great
but nothing else was
that seperation between intimacy and sex had opened an old wound
she was leaking
angry and using his tool like a propeller in flight
one explosive moment to the next
her son liked him
that was a freak accident
normally her son ran them off
sabotage has been sabotaged
left to her own devices
one cheek on one cheek off

aggression
fearfullness
anticipatory grief
and our time is short
on this earth
in this life
and vanity is no sin.
