i have my memories
that trace her white hair and the skin that brought life to me
once as a small child, now as an adult
she spoke to me of healing
powerless i had to let her go
yet i feel her here
my skin filled with the ingredients of pain killers
from kidney stones
and sadness
i love her
my husband loves me
like no other has
and i smile as i submit
i miss the way she smiled at me
pushed on the swings at the park
it was she tht gave me this eternal spark
