in these days of economic chaos
one thing that I welcome
is an innovative way to waste time

i know nothing about it. You can't even get into it to look at it and see how it works unless you sign up for it.

Just wondering what it is.

I hear about it on the news all the time. It's a widely used site.

Even Obama's camp has mentioned Twitter.

What happens there? Does anybody use it? How does it work?

Is it like facebook? or?

I don't really see the pint of Twitter, which is just used as a means to send miscellaneous updates...or so I think. Don't feel a huge need to sign up for things like that, especially when not lots of things are happening.

i heard said that twitter is where one answers the pressing question: "What are you doing?" within a limited about of words, i.e. there are only so many letters one can use in each posting.

It's like the Facebook updates. In website form. Sort of. As far as I kow that's all you can really do with it. But I'm already addicted to facebook. Let's not add another cyber vice.

friends who 'twitter' also 'twitter' on facebook. Once i'm on facebook, i already know who's stuck in traffic, who's typing just because they can, and who is alive.
It's all information.
i wouldn't twitter - i feel degenerate enough facebooking. i like being invisible except when i want to be.
but i text message with a cell. when it rings, i don't necessarily have to answer, but i like being able to read or send a text messages. E-mails hardly make a dent with a lot of people, but text messages seem to stimulate response.

instant messaging on the go - small planet, faster than a phone call, twitter makes sense for people who like those mini-seconds of contact with their friends too far away to visit.

I belong to Twitter!!!! It's good to see what others are doing. But I wouldn't want to wrap myself around it all the time!!!!
