Durante su práctica no es necesario obtener algo. Su objeto es sólo la concentración en la posición, la respiración y la actitud del espíritu.
(about zazen) "During its practice it is not necessary to obtain/gain? something. Its object is only the concentration in the posture, the breathing and the spirit attitude"
mmm.... so, zazen has an object? ...
in the soto tradition as far as I?- know? is zazen, zazen, zazen...

you are hit in the middle of your upper back without pain-pain at all and in order to refresh your posture. The maestro in the only zen center in my city frecuented by me (I guess it´s the only one, but I´m not sure at all) it´s a kind of AZI renegade and Deshimaru disciple, I like him!. But I find the posture and the duration in the posture somehow artificial for my actual body (they will say to you it´s the natural one and maybe they are right, who knows!). Anyway to sit in semi loto position for 25 30 minutes specially after a long walk and a shower generates some grounding and space in my monkey mind or something like that!
here is the site of the zen dojo if you are interested:

there are also some books that deals with zen logic and language quoting Wittgenstein somewhere too. Good luck!!!!!!!
