Someone write me a happy song
I'm feeling so very sad.
I'd like one that I can sing along
So I can stop feeling so bad.
All my thoughts are black and brown
And making me feel blue.
Lately I'm wearing a weary frown
So I am asking for help from you.
Won't you write something happy?
Give me this one small gift.
Write something silly and sappy.
Give my heart a lift.
Happy Song

Re: Happy Song
I thought I might attempt to pray
but hadn’t learned the proper way;
I saw a roach
below reproach
and broached a topic it might say:
“I’m on my knees when still I stand
and sole survive on wobbly land
and silently
I seem to be
in need of only friendship’s hand.
“So this is what I have to share:
my life is base and bust and bare
and full enough
without the stuff
for which so many others care.
“Forgive me if I say no grace;
I’ve got no voice within my face.
And pardon too
my thanks are few
and I’ve no hand a cross to trace.
“But I’m content to happy be,
content with life instinctively,
and – God of bliss –
my prayer is this:
to simply live as simple me.”
And then I fell to full approach
the rumblings of this mumbling roach
to haply pray;
it went away,
my happy stance that happened coach.

Re: Happy Song
My Blue Happiness
on those days
that loom like custard's last stand
even when entangled in blue and brown
Something is going to always know
I am a thing called "alive"
and that is a miracle
the most precious gift I never did ask for
but always longed for
yes even on one of those days
I am grateful
It always feels like Fat's Domino singing to me
on those days
that loom like custard's last stand
even when entangled in blue and brown
Something is going to always know
I am a thing called "alive"
and that is a miracle
the most precious gift I never did ask for
but always longed for
yes even on one of those days
I am grateful
It always feels like Fat's Domino singing to me
