My Plea

lift me up and take me
hold me in your embrace
feed my soul clear my mind
let me see my love's true face

give me knowledge, give me strength
countenance to see
clarity and understanding
make that my blessings be

I allow no one to define me
my spirit guides within
your energy I savor
the earth, the seas, the wind

we need to be more cognizant
of life, of love, of peace
respect our earth, our fellow man
if not, it all will cease
