It’s not really ok. The whole thing is falling apart,
I don’t care what people say or how they act,
the fact is, it’s a fucking mess, this isn’t a
mental illness test, the entire world has gone
crazy, especially the insane corrupt idiots
running the show so, if I were you, I’d probably
go take a long walk in the woods, then go home
roam around the property for a bit, check the
fireplace bricks and roof shingles, make sure
nothing’s loose, go back inside and make yourself
a fire, take your boots off, rock for a while in that
chair your wife used to love so much, then go
lie down and read a good book, ‘cause only fiction
can fix this shit, hon, only fiction can make any
sense of it.

and processing it on the way to work
every screen on every phone
screams at you
telling you what to think
Trump bad! Billionaires! Fascist Hitler rapist!
Trump genius! Make us white again! Woke woke woke!
the louder the shriek
the less credible the mouth
it's the junk food of information
so tend that garden
fill the bird feeder
bring the camera for a walk
assure yourself that
the real world is still out there
and knowing that
makes the other one
a little more manageable
