I've always wondered how you see me,
now i guess I know.
When the wind was going strong
you just let me go
I'm flowing freely in the air,
no strings containing me.
Now I know there's no-one there
no-one to catch me.
The wind suddenly stops
and now I'm falling.
I was falling for you
now I'm falling to my death.
And now I want to say
with my last and final breath.
I want to say 'I love you'
I want to say 'I care'
But if you feel the opposite
That's something I can not bare.
I wanted to say 'I love you',
But you just screamed hate.
And now I can't say anything,
because it's just too late.

Falling
It was the dance that lasted a lifetime, but ended in an eye-blink.

Bethany.. Yes... this makes so much sense! It's beautiful! I saw it last night and read it aloud to my daughter who is your age and she said, "I LOVE it!".. saw a glimmer of a tear in her eye. She's 13 and has had several boys who she's "gone out" with and I think this poem hit a soft spot in her heart. You are a very talented writer, Bethany, and at such an early age! I am looking forward to reading more of your poetry. Welcome and thank you for sharing your heart with us.

Re: Falling
this is a line; usually it's the falling in love cliche we get hung up on, how refreshing to fall somewhere else.bethany wrote:The wind suddenly stops
and now I'm falling.
