Drink Like a hobo
Drink Like a drunk
Drink Like a breeder
Drink Like a tourist
Drink Like a british person
Drink Like a lesbian
Drink Like a successful person
Drink Like a stereotype

Seriously.. people drink just to slow down...
We have a fairly generous life-span among the creatures,
yet 70+ years or so doesn't quite seem to get it done,
given the constant intrusion of making a buck,
or those who are smarter and know better.
al-ko-haul is a de-press-ant-- slows me,
even while awake!-- it must have been a miracle!
And all this while the world never stopped.
And it's legal.
And stuff.

Many writers associated with Butcher Block Inc. advanced the cause of liquor distributors, eh. Didnt Buk sort of stop with the hooch once his hustle paid off (Barfly etc.) and he moved westside... he started with the cabernet-merlot crowd, ah heard...............on the other hand Hank Thoreau preferred spring water to wine or liquor.

Breakfast of Champions entertained me, sort of, though I think Vonnegut was a trifle narcissistic: i agree KV reveals that midamerican splashy absurdity pretty effectively ( I thought it was a parody of Updike sort of). Cat's Cradle was alright--but not sure what the connection wuz with Miss Westie's post. Was V a drunk? I don't think so. He hung with scientifico sorts.
I doubt Buk-baby was into that hippie jass of V--he was into like LF Celine. Celine's no leftist. Pure nihilistic energy, really................
